Simon Pegg is mainly known for his acting in multiple genres from comedy to sci-fi but he is also known for scripting in genres from, you guessed it, comedy to sci-fi. Simon started screenwriting very early on in his career as he co-wrote Spaced alongside Edgar Wright; Spaced is a screwball comedy sitcom which Pegg also starred in. It's a common occurrence for Pegg to star in films he's wrote as this carries through to films including Paul, Hot Fuzz, The World's End and Shaun of the Dead. Pegg does have a clear writing style which is very dry humour, but this also doesn't stop him from adding in pop culture references. Pegg stated in an interview with Total Film "Be meticulous when you right, don't underestimate you're audience’s ability to get stuff." This post contains my thought process throughout my scriptwriting process. It was a slow and steady process with a few clumps of hair from my head being pulled out but I got there in the end and managed to achieve a second draft that I was proud of. Starting the script was one of the most difficult moment for me, which I can only assume if the same with many other people. I had a few ideas that I could've made a short story with but I decided to go with 'The Drop' as the subject of the film means a lot to me, it's something that I understand and something that I knew I could make a story out of.   The show Lucifer is a series about, you guessed it, the devil himself, however he’s not so evil, more comical and charming, a ladies man you could say. The show stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer with his co-star Lauren German as the detective Chloe Decker his partner in crime, well not partner in crime but partner in stopping crime. The series made it debut in 2016 and continued on for six series up until 2021. Throughout Lucifer, he battles issues such as free will, trying escape “Dad” or God and the life that he had planned out for Lucifer. We see him build a relationship with humans, which at times doesn’t go well but we mainly see him build a relationship with Chloe which slowly turns to love, which the devil, doesn’t think he can feel.
